So I've entered another Little White Lies competition, this time the brief is to create artwork inspired by my favourite scene in Breaking Bad.
My approach to the brief was to select elements and motifs from the scene in episode 7, Season 2, to create artwork in an illustrative style that I am confident with, hence the narrative portrait style that I usually choose.
Initial pencil sketches and pen development.
I usually start with a pencil and roughly sketch, then work in with pen, using lines, cross hatching, dots and dashes to build up intricate details.
Sometimes a black and white outline is almost as daunting as a blank canvas.
This was an alternative colour scheme, which I really like, probably because I'm always drawn to blue.
